I know and love these places well, since I was born, grew up and started my career in Uzbekistan, I know everything from the inside. I want to share the best tested options for the artist. A great offer for both experienced artists and beginners. We offer combinations for the most complete immersion in the wonderful and wonderful world of Central Asia.
This is an author's project from the artist, combining a unique journey and an opportunity for beginners to learn plein air painting, to open new horizons for experienced masters.
We will travel a lot, you will see the best places, immerse yourself in an oriental fairy tale! The views are as diverse as possible - the unique architecture and color of ancient cities and mountain villages, flowering in the mountains. Blooming spring in the mountains is one of the best times of the year! Since we will move in the valleys and in the mountains, the landscapes will alternate. Spring will be in full swing in the Hissar mountains. And in the valleys, in Samarkand and Shakhrisabz, there is a warm summer with an abundance of fruits.
This is not just a trip to another country, but a real time travel. We will plunge into the oriental fairy tale of the most ancient cities - Samarkand, Shakhrisabz. You will find yourself in a place where great rulers captured half of the world, wise scientists created sciences: medicine and philosophy, and skillful architects erected architectural monuments that are breathtaking even now! Local artists and restorers will help us to immerse and feel the color of these places, learn the history and see interesting angles. We will create together, discover new things and share experiences! Admire the magnificent landscapes and ancient architecture and paint all this beauty on your canvases!
And we will also enjoy delicious food - everything in Uzbekistan is very tasty and relatively inexpensive. Oriental bazaars will also give you a lot of impressions!
Program
April 30 - May 4 Samarkand.
The main pearls - Registan, Shakhi-Zinda, Bibi-Khanym, Gur-Emir and not only - we write, watch, walk, soak up the oriental flavor.
May 4th moving to Shakhrisabz, to the homeland of the great Amir Timur - Tamerlane (and also mine), a tour of historical architectural monuments. Here you can also leave some things and written works - we will come back here.
May 5 moving to Gilan- a mountain village with a rich history and beautiful views. We write old streets, get acquainted with the special atmosphere of life in a mountain village. There is still an opportunity to capture the color of traditional adobe houses on narrow streets surrounded by mountains, displaced by civilization. We will get acquainted with the peculiarities of life, with local craftsmen (we will live in the house of one of them). We will also meet a very good local painter. People here are incredibly hospitable and open (as, indeed, everywhere in Uzbekistan). At this time, it is very beautiful in the mountains, everything is blooming, it is warm, but not yet hot.
9th Mayback to Shakhrisabz, write, walk at will, make purchases.
May 10 – transfer to Samarkand, closing of the plein air, preparation for a joint exhibition.
Further options are possible. If you wish, you can lengthen and supplement your program. And - stay until May 15, go to the reserve in the vicinity of Shakhrisabz (also with an excursion and comfortable accommodation).
May 11 - 15 - a trip to the mountains, in the Gissar Reserve for flowering tulips.
The program is subject to minor changes and clarifications.
